Get Active launches 3 October

Waipā District Libraries Get Active programme for 2023 launches next week with the Ride the Raceway event at Cambridge Raceway. Celebrating the International Day of Older Persons, this event is for push/pedal bikes (including eBikes), starting at 11.30am. Riders can ride around the Cambridge Raceway circuit for as many times as they feel comfortable up to a 30 minute timeframe. 

The event is aimed at riders 60 years and older but younger persons may attend - in particular any grandchildren who are on school holidays to support their grandparents. Please be reminded this is not a race, it is an opportunity to ride the race track circuit in a safe environment in amongst other like-minded riders.

This is the first of many events on the programme throughout October and November. These include: Zumba, Hip Hop Step, Tai Chi, Karate, Running, Kids Athletics and a special presentation on Two Great Marathons of the World.
