Learn to Code With Edison

Want to get into programming, but don't know where to start?

Join us for a series of hands-on programming sessions with EdScratch!

This series of free sessions will help you get to grips with the fundamentals of programming. You will be using a powerful block-based programming language and a programmable robot that is packed with sensors for you to utilise as you tackle problems and engineer your own solutions.

We have a series of sessions for kids and teens aged 8-17 years old:

The series will run for around 7 weeks, starting the week of the 21st of July; with sessions on Mondays at Te Awamutu Library and Thursdays at Cambridge Library. Sessions will start at 3.45 and run to 4.45, with a quick 5-to-10 minute packdown following the end of the session.

If you have already attended a Learn to Code with Edison course, this content will be the same as last term.

A note for attendees aged 8 - 13 years old: A parent, guardian or responsible adult must remain onsite for the duration of these sessions. If the attendee is under 12 this person will have to remain in the room to supervise them.

Registrations are currently open for the July-September series!

If you are keen, please email Joe with the following details:

  • The name of the attendee
  • The age of the attendee
  • Which series you wish to attend (Te Awamutu on Mondays or Cambridge on Thursdays)

I will get in touch to confirm availability for your selected session.

Start dates for upcoming series:

Start on Monday 21st of July for Te Awamutu.

Start on Thursday 24th of July for Cambridge.
