Learn to code videogames using Lua in PICO-8

In this programme, you will learn to code in the programming language Lua, by creating a series of playable arcade games in the PICO-8 virtual console!

This programme will cover everything you need to know so you can work with modern programming languages. Topics such as tables, functions and loops will all be covered. With this knowledge you can make far more complicated programs as well as pick up different languages (such as Python or GDScript) with far more ease.

This will be a very hands-on programme; you must know how to use a computer and have passable spelling - there is no spellcheck in PICO-8!

Note that no prior programming experience is required, but the work will be quite cerebral and requires focus from the participants.

This course is open to ages 10+

Children under the age of 14 require an adult onsite at all times.

Registrations are open for Cambridge Term 4
