From Chat to Archive - a workshop on practical oral history skills

August is Family History Month, a time to celebrate the people and stories that make us who we are. Whether you're just starting your family tree or are deep in the archives, it's a great reminder that every name, photo, and memory helps bring our histories to life.

Following on from the presentation on Wednesday evening by the Cambridge Historical Society and Museum, Cambridge Genealogy Group and freelance journalist and filmmaker Andrew Johnstone, we are running a practical workshop for those who want to develop their own oral history skills further.

This practical session will introduce the basics of recording interviews. This would be good for anyone keen to preserve family, community, or local histories. No prior experience needed.

Get involved this Family History Month, come along to the talk, sign up for the workshop, and start recording the stories that matter.

Spaces are limited and registration is essential!
