Celebrating NZ Authors - Week 1 of the school holidays at Te Awamutu Library

We have heaps of cool craft activities planned for you to celebrate New Zealand authors this first week of the school holiday! From puppets to treasure boxes, donkeys to dogs, you can create items from your favourite kiwi books!

 What's on for the first week:

All events start at 10.30am and places are limited.
Please be sure to show up on time (and get a number from the front desk) to secure your spot.
Once a session is full, we cannot accept any more attendees, sorry!

Monday 22nd - Donovan Bixley's Flying Furballs Aircraft Activity

Join Louise W. and Joe in the teen area of the library to make some hanging planes!

Tuesday 23rd - Craig Smith’s Wonky Donkey 3D Pop-up Cards

Join Louise R. in the community room to create a cool pop-up donkey card!
Max. participants: 30


 

Wednesday 24th - Joy Cowley’s The Silent One Turtle Collage

Join Allyson and Joe in the community room to create colourful turtles!
Max. participants: 30



Thursday 25th - Lynley Dodd’s Hairy Maclary Character Puppets

Join Hilary in the community room to make puppets from the world of Hairy Maclary!
Max. participants: 30



Friday 26th - Margaret Mahy’s Down the Back of the Chair Treasure Holders

Join Mel in the community room to create treasure boxes to hide your goodies in!
Max. participants: 30


 

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
