The Casketeers, which is on TV, follows the daily life of  the business Tipene Funeral Home which NZ audiences have enjoyed watching.

It was interesting reading finding out bits and pieces that you don't know from the programme.

Francis was Catholic before he married his wife Kaiora. He converted to her religion when they married.

Kaiora suffered from post natal depression which remains with her today.

I learnt about some of the traditions and customs that are involved in a Māori funeral (Tangihanga) and why they happen.

It was an easy read and I'm pleased I got to know more about them.
