Learn how to create 3D models using parametric Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
CAD is ideal for accurate and precise designs.
The software we will be using is the free and powerful FreeCAD suite, which uses parametric modelling to create 3D objects. A parametric approach means that all the dimensions are assigned values (or parameters) which you could alter and update on the fly!
For example, you design a mug for hot drinks, but want to make it into a wider bowl shape for soups.
You wouldn't need to start from scratch, you could just increase the diameter of the mug to make it wide enough - easy as that.
As part of this course, you will also learn some design considerations for 3D printing your creations!

This course will start on May 18th and is open for ages 10 to adult.
