Genre: Historical Fiction

The setting is Austria in 1933. Hedy Kiesler is a stunning theatre actress.

A young Hedy Kiesler draws the attention of a Freidrich Mandl whose company manufactures military weapons. He is also known as the Merchant of Death. The two get married and one day Hedy overhears the Third Reich’s plans.

She devises a plan to escape and eventually finds herself in Hollywood, soon to become a screen star. She is armed with secrets that could help fight the Nazis but has trouble getting anyone to listen to her.

Based on the true story of Hedy Lamarr, who with composer George Antheil developed a radio guidance system for Allied torpedoes.

Fascinating!
