30 x 25cm Manilla envelope containing twenty one pages of hand drawn maps and card mounted photographs from the manuscript of "The Garden of Tāne" (1944), authored by Mona Gordon.
The 8 maps range from the migration patterns of various birds, the impact of deforestation and the range of the Huia. The photographs are of native birds and forest scenes.
Also includes letter from the Auckland Institute and Museum Auckland with comments on the manuscript submitted.
