Waipā District Council have made the decision that to ensure a safer environment for our patrons of all ages, including those vulnerable in our community, that vaccine passes will need to be sighted for entry to our Libraries.

From Monday 13 December, those aged 12 years three months and older will require a vaccine pass to enter the premises.

Children under 12 do not need vaccine passes to enter, however, they must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. This rule has always been in place.

Council will be continuing to support alternative options for the libraries, including a click and collect service. These will be advertised on social media, through library channels and the Council's website.

This is a dynamic and changing environment and Council will look to review this policy. We will advise when this review period will be down the track.
