Move to Alert Level 3

On Tuesday, 31 August at 11.59pm, New Zealand south of Auckland will have moved to Alert Level 3.

Our libraries will be working under the following conditions.

  • Our libraries will be closed to customers even though staff may be on-site.
  • After-hours returns/bookdrops will remain closed for the time being.
  • Due dates for all items will continue to be extended.
  • No items will be due back during the time of closure.
  • There will no additional charges to borrowers.

eResources and databases are available 24/7 and eBooks are free to borrow. For an instructional video on how to use the eBook system, click here.

Virtual programmes, activities and quizzes will continue to be offered online. 

Customers who would like to investigate whether they are eligible for a Skinny Jump modem service should contact us via email in the first instance.

Council offices will also be closed to customers but may be contacted via phone 0800 WAIPADC (0800 924 723) or email. Other Council facilities will also remain closed.
