Get Active 2020

Posted on 10 September 2020

Waipā District Libraries Get Active campaign is on again!

We're encouraging Waipā residents to Get Active - with some incentives along the way.

The campaign, Get Active 2020, will run from 14 September to 14 November.

You can collect an activity passport from your library from Friday 11 September.

The passport contains all the information you will need to collect stamps for your passport. Stamps can be collected by attending library events and events/classes at participating providers. Details are inside the passport and available via the link to the event page here.

Major prizes can be won at each library, with incentive prizes along the way (drawstring bags and drink bottles). Our thanks to our sponsors Club Waipa in Te Awamutu and Anytime Fitness Cambridge.

The first activities start from Monday with Walking Netball at Albert Park Indoor Centre being one of the first activities you can earn a stamp at. Walking Netball makes a welcome return to the Centre on Tuesday at 10am for an 8 week module.

Introductory and beginner classes are available in both libraries including popular favourites Zumba and Pilates, as well as new activities including Find your Fit, Introduction to Tai Chi, Bodyfit and Exercise to Music/Upright and Active.
