Creativity rewarded

With the school holidays and ANZAC Day, April was a busy month for our libraries, not to mention the issuing of more than 38 000 items across the district.

It was lovely to see the care and passion that patrons put into their submissions to ANZAC Day displays in our libraries.
Colonel Tony Hill (RSA Cambridge President) visited the Cambridge Library display to see the artwork produced to honour the men and women of the ANZACs. Donations to the RSA poppy appeal through pins and ANZAC biscuits were appreciated.

Jigsaw Art was also a popular competition, particularly in Te Awamutu Library with more than 20 entries received there. All entrants are to be commended for their ideas and originality. Congratulations to our voucher winners: Anita H, Emily Mc, Kwanjira E, Corey P, Nathaniel S and Luis F.
Librarian's choice prizes were also awarded to Olive & Leah M, Glenda B, Jamie and Luis F, Joshua G, Jasper S and Danica B.

Te Awamutu Library also continues its display of artwork from Rosebank Arts Centre.
