Author month opened with a bang with Get Published! by Ocean Reeve Publishing last week. The seminars on the book publishing industry were held in both Cambridge and Te Awamutu in front of highly appreciative audiences. Their seminar series moves to Taranaki where Ocean is from, prior to the release of Lisa Tamati's book, Relentless.
Next week younger audiences will be entertained by Sharon Holt and her Te Reo Singalong Show.
Local authors will also be sharing their knowledge at two presentation style workshops in Cambridge. Former Journalist Trudi Caffell will share how she got started and her journey into self-publishing. And Julie Thomas will share her writing tips in 'I have a novel in me'. Julie will provide practical advice on plotting, pacing, characters and dialogue and how to end!
Both presentations are also included in the programme for the Cambridge Autumn Festival.
Anyone interested in attending any of the publishing workshops or classes is invited to register via the event links here.
An 'Art with Books' competition is also be held throughout the month: click here for more details.
