We are in Alert Level 3. Our libraries are closed until further notice.
Welcome to Get Active 2021! Thank you for your interest.
The format for this year's programme is slightly different to previous years.
Due to Alert Levels, this year's programme is a mix of self-paced and in person activities. Ask for an activity diary from your library (or download one here) and attend events/classes at participating providers*, complete your own activities and/or follow the self-paced week by week suggestions available from our events page.
Your aim will be to fill in your activity diary and attend enough participating activities to earn a reward at the end of the programme.
You will need to fill in least 2-3 squares per week, and participate in at least 5 of the advertised activities over the course of the whole programme (those marked with a *). Attendance at any presentations/webinars is included as an advertised activity. If this is achieved you can submit your diary in exchange for a branded metal drink bottle and a branded sports/library bag at the end of the 10 weeks.^
If you are a provider and wish to have your activity included please email Dee who can also answer any enquiries from participants.
The programme is free to participate in. Some activities may require a koha or small charge.
Please register to be advised of activities coming up or added after the programme commences.
