Family History - Telling your Story [Static Display]

Between 1-6 August there will be a static display at the Te Awamutu Library designed to inspire you to write up your family stories and ensure memories are not lost forever.

Put together by the Te Awamutu Genealogy Group, the display will include ancestor stories to get you enthused, 6 key steps to get you started and free handouts to help you make it happen. The library will also have a selection of family history books on display.

Visitors who require personal assistance can set up a time to meet an experienced genealogist via email or attend the beginners sessions being held on 27 August and 3 September in the Community Room at the Te Awamutu Library.

The Te Awamutu Genealogy Group welcomes members of the public to their monthly meetings. The group meets on the first Tuesday in the month, 7.30pm at the St John Ambulance Hall in Palmer Street. The door charge per monthly meeting is $3.
