Family History - Getting started

Have you thought about researching your family but not known where to start?  The Te Awamutu Genealogy group is holding 2 sessions for beginners on Saturday 27 August and Saturday 3 September between 9.30am - 12.30pm in the Community Room at the Te Awamutu Library.

Although the two sessions are stand-alone and cover different aspects of your family history research, you will get the most out of them by attending both sessions. The first session will cover topics such as talking to other family members, creating family trees, staying focused with your research, online & offline research and useful resources. The second session will look at key tools such as DNA, collaboration with others researching your family and writing up your family stories. Both sessions are free to the public.
